The Pecularities of the Opposition with One and Different Objects based on the Contemporary Russian and English Languages.

Abstract

The relevance of the paper is determined by the compliance of its topic with the main directions of the contemporary linguistic science. At the modern stage of the development of the linguistics the systematic formations in the language, researched not only as peculiarities of their internal structure but also as specific character of the meaning of their elements and functioning area, are of high interest. Such a functional approach to solving language problems is observed in scientific works of the national and foreign scientists (A.V. Bondarko, E.V. Gulyga, Ie.I. Shendels, G.S. Shchur, V.G. Gak, V.P. Abramov, N.I. Filicheva, P.V. Chesnokov, L.V. Lisochenko, E.Rudolph, G.B. Milner, M. Malouz and etc.). Despite the integral system of methods, widespread in the science of language and considered from different aspects no single approach to their interpretation and presentation of the opposition in general has been defined.
